A few things...

Hello Compound Supporters!!
Okay, there are a few things coming up outside of our little Warehaus next month that I thought might spark your interest…

If you have been to the Italian Market lately, you may have noticed that Molly’s Bookstore is now Bella Vista Natural Foods. This small operation is already making big changes, and should be a great asset to the neighborhood. The store is on its way to becoming a co-op, and is dedicating a large amount of wall space to hang works by local artists. The first show will have a small opening reception on March 20th (the first day of Spring!!). It will be a group show, so if you are interested in contributing, the theme is, of course… FOOD!! (which is always fun)

Okay, so next on the agenda is Mew Gallery.
It is time for their annual PAY THE RENT EVENT! What is this, you ask? Well, it's an annual fundraiser to help pay for things like rent. And electricity. This is always a very slow time of year, and we want Mew to stay open!! I spend a lot of time at this store, so what would I do with my Sundays or free time before work if they weren't around??

PAY THE RENT EVENT will be held TUESDAY March 3rd from 6-10pm at the South Philly Tap Room.
There will be a silent auction and raffles, as well as drink specials, DJs, and dancing.
A $5 donation is suggested at the door, and there will be lots of excellent artwork and crafts to be raffled off! Please stop by! If you are interested in donating work to be auctioned or raffled, you can contact mewgallery@yahoo.com.

Thanks!!
Erin
