Did that hurt bro ? - Not as much as this mind numbing question.

Hey everybody, this is Adam with a shameless self promotion moment.
My day to day job is as a tattoo artist. I "sling the ink" as the kids and assorted douche bags in the industry say.
Recently I had my website updated.
So check it out...

If you need some "sick tats" done like a "skeleton head", some "regular" writing, a "decent" sized rose or just good old fashioned taz, come by, I will be more than happy to assist you in whatever you want to put on your body.
If you need someone for a freelance job, check out the artwork section.

Here's a picture of a tattoo I did this week that I'm proud of and

THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION

Trouble is always ready to defend his good name.
He has 24 CMK (confirmed mouse kills)
He's quick, he agile, he's been training and he's dead sexy.
Take a look Mister, you can see the glimmer of a champion in his eyes....

kittens inspired by.....SHOE STRINGS

p.s- mr. has been training, saying his prayers, eating his vitamins. Whatcha gonna do trouble when mr. and the mistermaniacs run wild on you

my homie john note; asher roth i love college spoof

If anyone has seen the asher roth i love college video then you can easily agree with me that it is the worst form of entertainment ever laid witness too. after seeing the video i didnt know if i wanted to first stab my eyes out or go for the ears with q tips. In my book, either would be a good choice. with that being said, on the complete flip side, this video spoof made by my friend john note,http://www.vimeo.com/user768304/videos/sort:date is really funny, and mocks the video pretty true to form. check it out, video game nerds will ecspecially appreciate this one.

MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY

as some of you know, compound resident Bill Sands bust his ass a while ago skateboarding at FDR rescuing an old ladies kitten from a burning building and had to get his shoulder put back together with the wonder of medical science (if you want to see how gross it is, click HERE or HERE). as a result of this, bill, a valuable member of the service industry, has been unable to work. which is what this thing i'm about to explain to you is all about
THIS MONDAY (MARCH 16th):

The Walnut Room Redux (1709 Walnut St.) is hosting a great fundraiser/party/art show called "buster bedlington's banger for bill's bills"
tons of people are getting together to support bill's bills..
The party is going to be nuts with great djs (emynd/bo bliz, isaac jordan, sammy slice, & brendan bring em), some amazing raffles, some videos thanks to local skate filmers and shops, food donated by Alfa and Bar Ferdinand, art on the walls by us at the Compound Art Collective, and tons of other great sponsors.
and best yet...

It's an open bar with a 10 dollar cover. doors open at 9pm.

click on the flyers to get a real low down scoop including whats up for raffle and everything else. tell your friends, tell your parents and their friends, bring your cat and your dog, and bring plenty of high fives because we'll be giving them out for free..

see you on monday

Back before the dawn of existence of everything, when the compound was no more than a couple of walls a floor and a ceiling, something was found in the dusty old warehouse that is now our home.

Toys.

You see, once, long long ago, 319 N. 11th st. was home to a toy factory. Three blocks north, a toy factory, a few blocks over, a toy factory. The area, formally known as “trestle town”, was home to a slew of the same, stuffing teddy bears, and pouring molds.

Tomorrow night, in homage to what was before, Compound Warehaus presents you with “Toy Factory” a group show featuring sculptures, paintings, drawings, and prints by some fantastic artists and wonderful people. The weather is warming, the weekend is starting, and we’ll be there to make sure you start it off proper.

Stop by, take a peak, turn into a child, give people hugs, hold some hands, drink some drinks, and join us.

our buddy steve miller has moved his infamous skateshop from the heart of fishtown to the heart of northern liberties. they're having an amazing opening party, and we want you to go. so after you come see us, GO THERE. we'll be there after we close up, so continue the fun with us and them and everyone else. godspeed.
